*(Article in below link has year 2008, corrected in here below to 2013). Today's posts is dedicated to Dr Lim Boo Liat, a family friend and Dad to my buddy schoolmate and scoutmate. Dr Lim passed away yesterday, July 11 2020, aged 94, a distinguished zoologist and a self-educated self-made person with a heart of gold, a friend and mentor to all and huge contributions to the nation and many others as well. He was recipient of the Merdeka award in 2013. Uncle Dr Lim, your life's work was an immense contribution to society, you inspired all of us and we will miss you very much, rest in peace and God be with you. For all Malaysians, may almighty God guide all the MPs in tomorrow's inaugural Parliament sitting to have the wisdom to vote for a brighter, fairer and corruption free future for all Malaysians. which Dr Lim and his generation had worked and struggled so hard for all their lives, July 12 2020*

With deepest sadness , Colin just informed us that Cheng Hooi's Dad, Dr Lim Boo Liat has passed away. He was a national icon , with a national award just before 2015, and gave huge contributions to other countries as well with his expertise, and he was a founding member of Zoo Negara. May his soul rest in peace and condolences to family members

*It is with huge sadness that I'm confirming that (Danny) Lim Wooi Teck (Johannian of my year) had passed away on or before Friday. Following is reply from EagleLink member (old scout of SJI) to me from his close contact with his blog explaining his thoughts before he took his life. Unfortunately we do not know about the arrangements. To those who pray I can only suggest we pray for him : "Yes, Danny has sadly passed away. Don't have details for arrangements but his brother-in-law shared that Danny had ended his life. He had left behind a blog, wherein are his sharings on his subsequent action..."*
